Skills and experience we are looking for:

 

OPTICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Tasks:

  • Define, model, optimize, tolerance and justify optical systems that respond to the needs
  • Development of optical design and analysis macros and applications
  • Perform straylight analysis
  • Contribute to opto-mechanical design, follow realization of optical components

Qualifications:

Knowledge of imaging and non-imaging optics
Knowledge of optical design software such as CodeV, Zemax, Oslo, LightTools, FRED, ASAP, VirtualLab
Knowledge of optical manufacturing

 
Experience:

Imaging, Lighting, Stray light analysis, Diffractive optics

OPTICAL ASSEMBLY INTEGRATION AND TEST ENGINEER

 

Tasks:

  • Define and assembly optical test set-ups such as wave front error, polarization or stray light set-ups
  • Define and develop software and tools required for optical tests
  • Specify optical tests
  • Conduct optical tests using Optics Laboratory facilities
  • Analysis of test results

Qualifications:

Experience in radiometric calibration and characterization
Experience in optical alginment
Knowledge of LabView, Python, Visual Basic, Matlab and C/C++ as well as of the optical tools such as ZEMAX and CodeV
 
Experience:

Optical instrumentation, Optical bench, Computing, Lasers, MTF

THERMO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER – OPTICAL SYSTEMS

Tasks:

  • Define mechanical & thermal specifications for system structure and units
  • Conduct thermal tests
  • Conduct vibration & acoustic tests
  • Conduct shock, alignment tests
  • Perform structural, static and dynamic analyses
  • Perform alignment and performance tests

Qualifications:

Background in FEM 
Knowledge of software for mechanical and structural analysis such as:  FEMAP/PATRAN/NASTRAN, SYSTEMA/THERMICA/THERMISOL
 
Experience:
Experience in mechanical and thermal architecture, design, development and manufacturing of stable structures.
Experience in vibration and thermal tests
Experience in composite structures
 

DETECTOR ENGINEER – OPTICAL SYSTEMS

Tasks:

  • You insure the interface with electronics
  • You define the tests to be performed on the detectors
  • You are responsible for electro-optical characterization of different types of detectors (CMOS/CCDs APSs, bolometers, etc.)
  • You support test campaigns
  • You are in charge of qualification, acceptance and interpretation of test results

Qualifications:

Knowledge of image detectors
Knowledge of light sources: UV, VIS, IR, X-ray
 
Experience:
Experience in CMOS/CCDs
Experience in electro-optical characterization of detectors
Experience in detector test bench development
